Ingredients required
Basmati rice - 500 grams
Chicken- 1/2 kg
Onion -2 nos
Tomato - 2 nos
Ginger garlic paste -1 spoon
Coriander leaves - 1 small bunch
Mint leaves - half bunch
Green chillies - 5 nos
Oil -4 spoons
Ghee - 3 spoons
Yoghurt -1/4 cup
Salt - to taste
Red Chilly powder - 2 spoons
Fennel Powder - 2 spoons
Turmeric powder - half spoon
Salt - half spoon
Lemon juice - 2 spoons
Turmeric powder - half tsp
Coriander powder - 1 spoon
Cumin Powder - 1 spoon
Garam Masala - 1 spoon
Pepper powder -1 spoon
Red Chilly Powder - 1 spoon
Ginger garlic paste -1 spoon
Bay leaf - 2
Cinnamon - 4
Star Anise - 2
Cloves -5
Cardamom -3
First Wash and cut chicken into small pieces. Add all marination items to chichen and mix well. Keep this a side atleast half an hour
Next Rinse the rice, soak it for at least 30 minutes, drain all water and keep aside.
Grind all garam masala items into powder and keep it a side.
Take a heavy deep vessel or pressure cooker add oil and ghee and heat together. then add the whole garam masala powder.
Slowly add onions along with chopped green chillies.
fry it the onions turn slightly brown and crispy add ginger garlic paste, chopped coriander and pudina leaves.
Next add tomatoes and sauté for a while till the oil separates.
Now add marinated chicken and turmeric powder, chilly powder, fennel powder, yoghurt and salt. Sauté everything for 5-10 minutes until it thickens to a gravy consistency, finally add the soaked rice, stir well to mix all the contents well. cook finely and serve it hot
